Fashion be damned: Pop culture is just one big Hometown Buffet for writer-director Quentin Tarantino. Nowhere has that sensibility been more apparent than on his hand-picked soundtrack choices, and this oft tongue-in-cheek tale of a female assassin’s revenge (his first film in six years) is no exception. With dizzy, almost palpable glee, Tarantino evokes the international hall-of-mirrors infl…

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic sickness of the central nervous system which has effects on the body's protection system. Those that have passed the age of thirty normally develop multiple sclerosis, and there are rather more women than men affected by the disease. A couple of million people are affected by multiple sclerosis.

The central nervous system is made of the brain and the spine and with out it the body could not live and think, as it processes the signals transmitted by the nerve endings which are spread all around the body and responds to them. Multiple sclerosis affects this process and due to this fact interferes with our abilities too taste, smell, touch and feel everything.

The nerves of the central nervous system are surrounded by membrane called myelin. This membrane is affected by multiple sclerosis as it makes the central nervous system attack it by sending the antibodies and the white blood cells against it.

White blood cells and antibodies are cells which have the aim of fighting bacteria and viral infections. Whenever a dangerous foreign microorganism enters the body and it starts an infection the central nervous system sends the antibodies destroy it. Multiple sclerosis confuses the central nervous system and makes it send the white blood cells against the myelin. They attack it after which the nerves become defective. In time, multiple sclerosis completely blocks the nerve signals and seriously affects the senses.

Multiple sclerosis' causes are usually not solely known. Researchers are still finding out what the causes of the antibodies attacks are. MC could have a genetic cause but this is not certain yet. We should wait for future discoveries in an effort to find out more about the causes.

The signs of multiple sclerosis are very different from one patient to another, relying on what senses are affected.

Here is a list of common signs that may appear:

-complete or partial temporary loss of vision. Vision typically gets blurry or double.

-confusion, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, tremor, abnormal movement, balance loss

-muscle atrophy and spasticity

-hand or leg paralysis

-incoherent speech

These are just some of the signs, every patient presents explicit signs as there are a lot of nerve endings in the body and each one could be affected and shows a unique symptom.

Unfortunately there isn't any known treatment that may completely eradicate multiple sclerosis. Tests have proven us that there are a few remedy strategies that give some results, but researching is still made to discover an effective treatment. The treatments done nowadays aim relive the signs and the acute sclerosis attacks, however the sickness can't be eliminated from the body.

Since we still know too little about how the brain works we can't do much to battle or prevent multiple sclerosis, so we can only hope that the future will bring excellent news in this domain.
