The Broken - $89.99 A woman is thrust into a world where everything is subtly unfamiliar in this edgy thriller from writer and director Sean Ellis. Gina McVay (Lena Headey) is a radiologist who is enjoying dinner one evening with her family and her boyfriend Stefan (Melvil Poupaud) when a mirror shatters for no apparent reason. After a few moments, no one thinks much of it, but the next day Gina is leaving work and she sees something even more troubling — a woman who looks just like her, driving a car identical to her own. Curious, Gina sneaks into the doppelganger’s apartment and sees a photo of herself and her father in the hallway. Seriously rattled, Gina runs out and drives away, only to get in an accident that lands her in the hospital. After she’s released, Gina asks Stefan if she can stay with him, but while he looks the same, his personality and behavior are quite different from the way she remembers him, and she begins having vivid nightmares which become all the more terrifying when the same horrific images begin popping up in her waking hours. The Broken received its American premiere at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi |

Do It Yourself Car Repair Does Not Have To Be Difficult If You Are Prepared, Some Things You Will Not Be Able To Fix
What are the two biggest reasons why you should know how to fix your car? To save money is the first thing I can think of. You will have to do it yourself car repair when you are broken down in a remote area. This is an important skill to have when there is no immediate help. These kinds of skills might equal your survival.
First, what is the most important tool for quick repair? What if your muffler drops and drags? Remounting it will be difficult, so make sure you have a roll of black duct tape. You can get it at any hardware store Gorilla tape is good. Sounds primitive I know, but that stuff can fix just about anything.
I used it to hold my muffler up onto the bottom of my car, and drove hundreds of miles that way until I could get it repaired properly. Put on you park break, and just wrap it around the pipe and a good spot near the break. This really does work. I think at one time they even were going to fix the space station with duct tape. But don't drive around like that for long, get it fixed properly.
With do it yourself car repair you must know your limits. If you do not know your way around the parts of your car, then get to know it otherwise you might find it hard to fix. Generally pulling something apart is the easy part. Putting things back together as one is the hard part.
You have to know how to put things back together. To do this start by getting a piece of paper or cardboard, and place the parts you pull off on the paper in the order you took them apart. You have to number an label them so you will know the order in which they go back together.
Do you have a user manual for your car? If not, get one! A lot can be known just by reading it. Study it!
Sometime all you will need to do is replace a fuse, or tighten a bolt, or screw so have extra fuses. Look in the manual to find your fuse box, and have the right tools with you: screw driver set, a good ratchet set with extender, even a can of spray on oil in order to loosen bolts and lube things. Jumper cables are a standard to have, don't forget them!
Just be ready, and prepared for anything and you might win the battle before it has begun. Do it yourself car repair does not have to be difficult if you are prepared, some things you will not be able to fix, so don’t leave without your cell phone. Ask how far the tow will be before you agree to be towed as it might cost a lot of money, more than the car is worth. Looking for auto parts go here: auto parts Calgary.
